When I saw this moment before a destination wedding in Cartagena, Colombia, I almost couldn't believe my good fortune. The bride's father was holding her bouquet, quietly watching her getting ready through a doorway in her hotel room. He had come by to take her to the church, and was dutifully waiting and quietly watching. While this image does not feature faces, you can immediately tell what's happening. I love this photograph, and the fact that I can't actually see the dad's expression. You are left to imagine the poignant mix of emotions that was dancing across his face while he waited for his first-born daughter to take his hand, walk to a waiting car, share a ride to the church, and walk down the aisle with her arm linked in his.
