The SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills is an absolute paradise for any wedding photographer. It’s also just two miles from my studio, so I absolutely love working there. This lovely bride got ready at the SLS then drove with her bridesmaids to the Our Lady of Angels Cathedral in downtown Los Angeles for her Catholic wedding ceremony. Once we got back to the SLS Hotel, we spent an hour creating beautiful portraits in this stunning boutique location before heading off to the reception. Flowers were expertly handled by the wonderful Inna and the team at Butterly Floral Design, while coordination was handled by the beautiful Flavia Lomoglia at Allure Events Atelier. - Photographing weddings in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills is always a joy, particularly when I get to work at stunning venues like the SLS Hotel. For this image, I decided to change the tone of the green hedges to magenta with an orange ombre light streak coming in from camera left. The end result was a favorite of my clients, and I’m delighted that my extra time in Photoshop generated such a creative portrait. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful to photographers, and as long as the restaurant and bar haven’t yet opened, wedding clients are usually allowed to do their photographs in some of the more unique areas of the property.
