Indian Wedding Photographer Los Angeles

I love photographing Indian weddings, and it was at just such a wedding that I took my best-known portrait. My image of a blue-eyed Indian bride has been published all around the world, and was even featured on the cover of Russian Photo Magazine in Moscow. Bride Yasna Patel was lovely to work with, and I don't think either she nor I realized that this image would become my best-known photo. When setting up this image, I took care to position a few reception chairs behind the bride, as they were covered in a peacock blue fabric with sheen. The blue picked up the blue of the bride's eyes, which in turn played well off the red color of her lengha. Red and blue is one of the three major color combinations that prompt a psychological reaction in the viewer, so I love using this color combination whenever I can. Yes, this bride's eyes are really blue, and no, these are not contact lenses. Indian wedding photographed at Westridge Golf Club, La Habra, California.
