I spent my birthday photographing the wedding of Simrit and Matthew, who were married at the Vermont Gurdwara with a reception at the Roosevelt Hotel. During the engagement ceremony, which took place the day before the wedding, Matthew surprised Simrit with an amazing ring that took everyone's breath away. Guests at the reception were amused to find that Prince was playing in the Roosevelt ballroom, and I must admit that it's the first time I've shot portraits while listening to Prince do a live vocal sound check.
