Manisha & Arvind
Tuesday, July 29, 2008
Manisha and Arvind were married at the beautiful
Saddlerock Ranch, owned by Malibu Family Wines. Although I grew up nearby, this was my first time shooting at this picturesque property. So imagine my surprise when I drove into the property and encountered . . . a baby zebra! What could be more cute? Of course, Manisha looked stunning all day, despite the 108-degree heat. And Arvind was the perfect groom, taking care to bring the photographers some much-needed Gatorade (thank you, Arvind!) and always making sure that his guests were enjoying their signature pomegranate martinis. Manisha & Arvind's guests danced under the stars until midnight, and we were all surprised that the mercury still read 85 degrees even at that late hour. With coordination by
Sheryal Rozzelle, hair and makeup by the wonderful
Oscar Naranjo, video artistry by the lovely April at
Robles Video, mandap and DJ services by
Kumba, and second shooting by
Yoshi Morimoto.

Farah & Imran
Saturday, July 26, 2008
I just love Farah and Imran. They're the most joyful, genuine people, and I'm truly glad I got to participate in their big day. The
Huntington Beach Hyatt provided a lovely backdrop for this playful couple's two-part Muslim wedding. The first ceremony -- the real one -- took place in two different rooms in the hotel. Farah cried all through her part of the ceremony, even though Imran was in a totally different room. You can see tears dripping off her face and chin in one of the photos below. She was just adorable throughout. After Imran's part of the ceremony concluded, the couple made their way out to the mandap, and had another ceremony in front of their guests, even though they were technically already married. Vendor-wise, I have no idea who did what. But the always-fabulous
Oscar Naranjo did Farah's beautiful hair and makeup, and the talented
Jesse did makeup for many of the female relatives. With second shooting by the uber-cool
Yoshi Morimoto.

The E: Rebecca & Roy
Friday, July 18, 2008
Rebecca and Roy will be married in beatiful Tulum, Mexico, next March, and I can't wait for their wedding. We did their engagement session on the early side (a few months ago, actually) because they currently live in two different states. Such are the busy and complicated lives of talented doctors. I'm excited for these two great people to finally live in the same city because they're so fabulous together.

The E: Farah & Imran
Farah and Imran were on a tight time schedule, so I actually did their engagement session the same week that they got married. This couple is so cute and playful, and they both have fabulous laughs. I'll be blogging their wedding soon.

The E: Jayati & Harjot
Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Jayati and Harjot will have two wedding ceremonies -- one in Fresno and one in beautiful Udaipur, India. I was already booked for both their dates -- so sad -- but I loved getting together with them for an engagement session at UCLA. Check out the new graduates who were wandering the campus and got roped into one of my shots. And check out the new graduate footwear. What's up with that?

Kavita and Vikas will be married in August at the St. Regis. They've both recently relocated to Texas, and I hope they'll enjoy the great community in Houston.

Simran & Shahrooz
Sunday, July 13, 2008
Simran and Shahrooz were married in a dual-ceremony wedding at the
LAX Hilton. (Leave it to me to post a sneak peek more than a week after all the wedding images were delivered to the couple.) The day started off with a Sikh ceremony, then, after a quick clothing change, everyone moved on to a heartfelt Persian Muslim ceremony. Put Punjabis and Persians in a room and you can't help but get a truly amazing reception. This was definitely a crowd that knew how to party. This couple is just the sweetest, and Shahrooz adores Simran so much. It's truly a joy to watch these two together. Coordinated by the lovely
Sonia Sharma, with floral artistry by Beverly Blossoms, makeup by Chisu Kim, hair by Peggy Barks, and DJ services by Ajay at
Kumba. (Apologies: I believe there was a Persian DJ there, too, but I will have to add his name to the blog posting later, as I don't have it right now.) With second shooting by the fabulous
Yoshi Morimoto.
