Miss India USA - Ayushka Singh

Saturday, December 15, 2007

The dazzling and talented Ayushka Singh is Miss India USA 2006-2007. As beautiful on the inside as she is out, Ayushka seems destined for great things in her life. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Ayushka and her wonderful family (whom I adore) emigrated to the US in 1999. The youngest of three children, Ayushka currently resides in Southern California. Ayushka will crown the new Miss India USA later this month.

The E: Sapna & Shashin

Sapna and Shashin will be married in February. Since I'll be out of the country for most of the month, they hired me to do an engagement session for them, and we had a great time. This is yet another couple living in two different states. I'll be happy when they get married and can finally live in the same city.

Shabana & Hussein

Wednesday, December 12, 2007

Shabana and Hussein were married at a mosque in Northridge, with a reception at the LAX Hilton. Mosques do not permit photography during the ceremony, so the photography and video teams weren't able to witness this wonderful couple exchanging their vows. When Hussein's best man spoke about three goals that Hussein had set and achieved -- becoming a doctor, buying his mother a house, and marrying a wonderful woman -- the guests couldn't help but get a bit teary-eyed. As for me, I was delighted to learn that Shabana would be moving to Arizona just two days after her wedding, as this couple has been living in two different states for far too long. A big thank you to the beautiful Jessy Sehmbey for introducing me to this sweet and stylish couple. Vendor information coming soon.

Introducing . . . Ramona Wright

Wednesday, December 05, 2007

I had a great time photographing the beautiful Ramona Wright. They sky's the limit for this wicked smart girl, and she hopes to use her recent Ziba Girl win as a launch pad for new modeling and spokesmodel opportunities. Her passions include producing creative projects for film, TV and the web. Ramona will soon be launching a blog -- Ms. wRight Says -- which will provide commentary on diversity matters and pop culture. Look for it in 2008. A big thanks to my good friend Yoshi Morimoto for helping out.
